Adobe Creative cloud Apps on M1. I then installed the Adobe Creative cloud apps like Photoshop 2021, Premiere Pro 2020, and Adobe Rush. Working on all of these apps even though they are not optimized for the M1 chip are still fast and snappy.

Since updating to this new OS, I purchase a Creative Cloud subscription and tried installing for the FIRST Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App stuck on waiting.Adobe has updated its Creative Cloud suite, with two of its most widely-used applications, Audition and Premiere Pro, getting new features for audio workflows, and the former gaining native support for Apple’s M1 Macs.And after conducting 774 individual benchmark measures, the team found that Creative Cloud is 'on average over 80 faster using the M1 system when compared to an identically configured Intel system.' Scrolling is better than on Intel silicon, but there are often 10 second freezes where the entire thing locks up. Really looking forward to XD going native as I think it will scream on the M1! But for now it’s a 7/10.InDesign. Not as fast as on the Intel hardware and scrolling is not as smooth, which is a real shame. It’s not super snappy, but it’s fine. Runs fine and I’ve had almost no issues with this both on the beta version and the Rosetta version. It’s going to be a while until CC really shines on Apple’s silicon.Photoshop.
Adobe Creative Cloud M1 Code As Soon
Fingers crossed Adobe get this over to M1 code as soon as possible! 6/10Illustrator. The worse behaved of the CC apps I’ve tested so far. A few other GPU glitches can be seen from time to time, which are fixed by zooming in and out again. I’ve noticed that setting InDesign to render using only the CPU seems to fix this issue.
I’ll monitor it for a couple of days and post here again.I'm really disappointed with the M1 MacBook Pro. A little slower than I expected, but it works! 7/10.In conclusion, if you are going to be using Adobe CC for most of your working day and you already own a 6 or 8 core Intel Mac it might be worth waiting until at least your main CC app is ported to Apple’s silicon.If like me your work is a mix of Adobe and Apple apps, then you might want to swap over now and take the hit on the Adobe apps as all of the Apple apps are so much faster than on Intel!Edit: Had the XD and InDesign scores mixed up.Another Edit: Added observation about GPU rendering in InDesign.Update : It might be a little too early to really tell, but I think the issue with InDesign might have to be fixed withe Big Sur 11.2. Occasional issues where the app will not launch until rebooting the Mac. Great! Not blazingly fast, but fast.
